How to get
to Florence

Florence is easily reached
by plane, train or car.

BY PLANE: Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport is only 5 km from the city center. Guests can take a taxi to the center in just 15 minutes or by taking the ‘Vola In Bus’ shuttle bus. Guests can also check Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport. It is one hour from Florence.
BY TRAIN: Firenze Santa Maria Novella is the main station in Florence. It is located in the city center and is a major transport hub on the Milan-Naples line, well connected to major Italian cities by high-speed train.
Regional trains also arrive and depart from Santa Maria Novella several times per hour, connecting Florence to other cities in Tuscany. There are also interregional and international trains.
BY CAR: Arriving in Florence by car is straightforward. The A1 Milano-Napoli motorway intersects around Florence with the A12 Firenze-Pisa Nord motorway, which connects Tuscany’s main cities, such as Prato, Pistoia, Lucca, and Pisa.
The A1 exits for Florence are Firenze Nord, Firenze Scandicci, Firenze Impruneta, and Firenze Sud.
If you come to Florence by car, remember that traffic in the city center is limited by the ZTL (Zona Traffico Limitato). The ZTL requires that you leave your car at one of the many car parks operated by the “Firenze Parcheggi” network, whose costs and hours vary according to location.

How to get to
the symposium

The symposium takes place at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Piazza Adua 1. The Palazzo dei Congressi is next to Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station.

Palazzo dei Congressi has no parking on site. There is parking in the surrounding areas.

From the city center, guests can easily walk to the symposium.

The tramway is an alternative to move around the city. The conference center is connected to the motorway through line T1 and to the airport through line T2.
